      Very friendly and helpful staff. Sites are a great size and the ensuite was perfect for a single mum with two boys. Easy bike ride in to Apollo bay town and short walk across the road to the beach. Heaps of fun activities for the kids and the light shows were a huge hit. Coffee van made my mornings.       We stayed in a glamping beach tent and it was brilliant. The views, the room, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, welcome bag with marshmallows and sticks to toast on the communal fire pit. The location and views were stunning.

      This Big 4 Apollo Bay is by far one of the better most up to date parks we have stayed at , incredibly clean , manicured gardens , the best amenities, great service from staff . We had a caravan power site on Samon st with great views of the ocean . I would highly recommend this park if traveling the Great ocean rd , its location gives great access to surrounding Restaurants brewery’s , Otway’s .

      For stay with family, enough can’t be said about the place - location, pricing, facilities, staff, value for money and convenience. Had a happy stay with them with no doubts about where I will stay next time in Apollo Bay.

      Very disappointing response to an honestly reported accident

We stayed at BIG4 Apollo Bay as a group of eight families. While my own cabin was clean, comfortable, had a great view , comfortable
and was a very good experience, unfortunately the way staff handled a small accidental incident involving one of our friends significantly affected our overall impression of the park.

Our friends were camping in tents on a site that looked like grass but was actually artificial turf. A hot pan was accidentally placed on the turf and caused some heat damage.

I want to be very clear: we are not complaining about being held responsible for the damage. We understand that guests are responsible for damage they cause, and card details are already provided at check-in for this purpose.

What was disappointing was the way our friend was treated after voluntarily going to reception and honestly reporting the mistake. They could easily have said nothing and waited for the park to discover it after checkout, but instead they immediately did the responsible thing. Despite that, we found the response unnecessarily rude and unfriendly.

Accidents happen. There is a difference between deliberately damaging property and making an honest mistake, reporting it , PAYING FOR THE DAMAGE immediately and accepting responsibility. We expected the matter to be dealt with calmly and professionally.

It would also be sensible to have very visible warnings on artificial-turf campsites stating that hot pans, cooking equipment and other heated items must not be placed directly on the turf. Campers may reasonably assume from its appearance that they are setting up on normal grass unless this is made clear.

It is a shame because there was a lot we liked about BIG4 Apollo Bay. My cabin experience was genuinely good — clean, comfortable and with a beautiful view. But the way guests are treated when something goes wrong is also an important part of hospitality.

A simple mistake that was honestly reported should have been handled with professionalism and respect.

      Big shout out to the whole Pisces team for aaccommodating our stay at apollo bay and our GOW. Country hospitality at its best. From the staff at reception to the maintenance staff. All done with a friendly smile and service.
