Oh, the food! Glorious food!
Apollo Bay is renowned for fresh seafood, farms, markets and delightful cafes and restaurants. One of our favourites is the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse where they cater for all different tastes but there are many other places to eat. You should ask the girls at reception for their favourites!
Each week Apollo Bay plays host to several markets. Enjoy the freshest possible produce at the Apollo Bay Farmer’s Market on the third Sunday of the month from 9am to 1pm at the Youth Club, 19-21 Moore Street. The Southern Otways Food Cooperative is run in conjunction with the Apollo Bay Farmers Market, every 3rd Sunday of the month from 10am to 1pm.
There are also many excellent fishing opportunities available in the Otway region. Take a look at the Visit Otways Fishing Guide and how to obtain a Fishing License in Victoria, which also has some top spots to fish at.
Combine your healthy holiday with buying holiday gifts for family and friends at the Apollo Bay Community Market, which is on most Saturdays throughout the year stocked with quality handmade wares and produce from the local area. Head down to the Apollo Bay foreshore from 8.30am to 1pm.
